Why You Should Be Drinking Lemon Water In The Morning
There are many health benefits of lemons that have been known for centuries. The two biggest are: lemons have strong antibacterial, antiviral, and immune-boosting powers and their use as a weight loss aid because lemon juice is a digestive aid and liver cleanser.
Lemons contain many substances, notably citric acid, calcium, magnesium, vitamin C, bioflavonoids, pectin, and limonene–that promote immunity and fight infection. Lemons have the highest content of Vitamin C compared to oranges and other citrus fruits.
It also had the highest cancer fighting properties than many fruits.
Always squeeze the lemon in warm water and not cold water because cold water is not as hydrating as warm water and cold water shocks the liver early in the morning.

Squeeze a quarter or half a slice to warm water and drink it first thing in the morning to help stimulate the GI Tract and also stimulate and purify the liver. It also helps with digestion and elimination. Lemon helps in keeping you regular, which is very important especially when talking about colon cancer prevention.

Lemon in water is a natural diuretic, which means it helps your body to flush out liquid and toxins along with it. The citric acid can also help maximize enzymes, which stimulates the liver. Be prepared to visit the toilet to pee quiet oftenJ

Citrus fruits like lemon are high in Vitamin C and helps fight colds and the ascorbic acid helps in the absorption of iron, which also plays a role in immune function. Every time I feel like I’m catching a cold or a throat infection I up my lemon intake in the morning and another half through out the day.

If your body is in a chronic pH imbalance, it is susceptible to diseases such as cancer. Even though lemons seems acidic, they are extremely alkalizing and a great way to ensure your pH balance is where it should be especially if your diet is heavy in meat, cheese or alcohol. Drinking lemon water regularly can help to remove overall acidity in the body, including uric acid in the joints, which is one of the primary causes of pain and inflammation. Iodine and Garlic are also great in ensuring you PH balance is good but I wouldn’t advice you to take garlic first thing in the morning unless you’re planning to chase a lot of people away.

If you wake up tired and exhausted after a good night rest, it means you are probably dehydrated. Drink 2 glasses of warm water and half a lemon squeezed and you are bound to feel great afterwards.

For those looking to shed some weight. Lemons are high in pectin fiber, which helps fight hunger cravings. Studies have shown people who maintain a more alkaline diet, do in fact lose weight faster.
Whenever I travel I always carry a bunch of lemons with me and store them in the miniature fridge in the hotel room. Just incase I don’t have time to visit a grocery store. Yes, it is that serious. Living healthy should be like taking a bath! Health is the only real wealth we have.
